I think it fits minimalist perfectly. Yes, thanks Keith. But is minimalist = minimal - been struggling with that. But what the heck! That's the idea, experiment, interpret, have fun and at the end of the day - but what the heck!!!
FWIW there is a FB group for minimalist photography (probably more than one) - the comments are always amusing revolving around what is minimal for some is chaotic and over elaborate for others. I have not yet submitted anything but it would be more to push buttons on some people who like to have an opinion.

Other than a few pics at great distance (I'm not a fan of dogs) the only close up pics I have are when there is a fence between me and them.
