Was very traditional for a change, roast lamb, mint sauce, roasted potatoes, cauliflower, carrots, garden peas and a couple of Yorkies
I got a reduced to clear shoulder of lamb and it was a big joint so there's now a lot leftover so I'll have some with chips for dinner tomorrow and I have big thick cold lamb sandwiches for the week to take to work I do love cold lamb sandwiches so no complaints here

Yesterday we had roast pork with roast corn on the cob, garlic roast baby potatoes, green beans and cauliflower cheese. Tonight we had Brie, baguette, tomato and mozzarella salad, homemade coleslaw, salad and cold roast pork. Tomorrow we’re having frozen veggie balls with chips and gravy.

Some of the leftover roast lamb, triple cooked chips and pease pudding and I threw a couple of cauliflower hash browns in with the chips I made rather a lot and didn't need afters
Now have cold lamb sandwiches for lunch at work I got a jalapeno and sour dough loaf so that's a nice lunch at work for the next couple of days

Did a cod in batter that was lurking in the freezer with oven chips and garden peas Afterwards I had crackers with a cheddar with ale and mustard (I got a "lucky dip" Easter box from the Chuckling Cheese Company guaranteed £40's worth of stuff for £16 some of it I am giving away but the stuff I was really happy with like half a wheel of double Gloucester with chives, smoked cheddar, cheddar with black pepper, cheddar with garlic etc would have been over£20 on its own)
It was shall we say interesting? Couldn't taste the ale but half a ton of mustard!

Gone for the veggie option with roasted veg, but I have to confess to being totally underwhelmed.
I've come to the conclusion that the veg is only the supporting act, the meat is the main event.
Last time I did roasted veg I chucked in some chorizo which made all the difference.

Mrs. N, who has a major veggie X nights a week gulag (sorry I meant regime ) has said often she could live on vegetables if they were cooked in meat juices. Chucking in some chorizo is a great compromise.

Well, I got through it but it felt more penitential than pleasurable.

Just been to the Indian for the Thursday night special. Poppadums, virtually any starter from the menu, virtually any main dish, a side dish, rice or naan and a coffee for 15.95 each. really can't complain. We also eat there on other days and there is no difference between Thursdays and other days in the dishes they serve. Full as a frog now.
