I had something very different in my diary, so good to know. Unlikely to attend is now Extremely unlikely to attend.

Sorry to hear that, Pete. We'll have a pint for you in the, I'm sure unlikely, event that we just happen to pass a pub and feel thirsty.

Hum, I have just logged into Train Line to book a return ticket, guess what "Industrial action to affect many National Rail services from Monday 6 May to Saturday 11 May" Agh! It looks like I will be driving to one of the car parks on the outside of town.

I'ver just checked and now GWR plan to have replacement buses between my local station and Reading, from where I can at least catch a train to Oxford. However the frequency of buses is half that of the trains that usually run, and the journey time is approximately 3 times as long. I may have to re-think....

Now looking at park and ride, that is a F ing mess due to road closures between Thornhill and the city centre. Help Adrian, where should I park if not Thornhill given that I am driving from London. gray1720

I'd suggest the A34, but it's closed southbound all weekend so everyone will be on the ring road. From there plenty of buses.

Oh god, is the A34 going to sod everybody up again?

I'll come up through Swindon. What have you done to deserve Swindon? There is a park and ride on the Botley Road, just be aware you'll need to get off & cross the roadworks before you get to the station.
