If anyone here still gets it... no, that's not me in the letters page! I was enjoying the letter as it's just my sort of thing and... whale oil beef hooked! My name! Took me a while to figure that out. Not you but a namesake. When, at work, we finally all got electronically connected and email became the norm I had 16 namesakes in the global directory only differentiated by the middle initial because the system generated names were all of format forename.initial.surname@.... and of course most folk are known by their forename and surname. Oh what fun it was. |
