I might be repeating myself here as I think I said the same thing this time last year, but it can be frustrating when you want to buy things in person - save the high street and all that - but can't, and end up with another on line purchase. With the New Year fast approaching I need new Filofax pages. WH Smith only have them with the week starting on Sunday, which is if no use to me or most people, I would imagine. In truth, they've run out of the refills people want and are trying to fob us off with refills nobody wants. As for Ryman, the branch I tried informed me Filofax items are now only available at certain branches. Not including the one I was in. I was advised to check online to ascertain which branches were stocking what I wanted, but having thus been driven online I simply made the purchase on Amazon.

I wouldn't want any diary/calendar that didn't start on Sundays, nor any that tries to bundle Saturdays and Sundays together in a tiny space.

I’ve always considered Sunday the first day of the week I had not realised Saturday was your Sabath. "On the seventh day shalt thou rest" - as they say in Kate's neck of the woods.

More a case of "On the first day of the week, very early in the morning,..."

Ask any Jew which day is the seventh... The wee frees etc. are, by observing Sundays as the 'sabbath' are simply bowing to papal authority, given that it was the Catholics that changed the "Lord's day" to Sunday to make a distinction from Jewish practice.

Oh, I dunno..... seems rather appropriate, in some ways. My recollection of the working week is that Monday to Friday took up a huge amount of one's time, while Saturday & Sunday vanished in the blink of an eye.

And the only stuff I'm really wanting to plan are on days off!

Facebook threatening me following "an inflammatory post" Martin said he's been banned from a local FB group for telling the truth. In my post I said that telling the truth on the internet was heresy and so he should be burnt at the stake (with the appropriate burning smiley) As I'd literally just posted I got a message from FB saying it was against the rules...so how come the far right numpties were able to get away with what they said earlier in the year? Perhaps heresy was the naughty word unless of course it was truth...

I always assumed everyone knows when the jewish sabath is. I also assume Geoff is not jewish.
