That's why this last summer I made my own muesli to keep my oats intake up when it's too warm for porridge (good for cholesterol... mind you, I've been eating porridge every morning all winter for years!) - all the sugar in it came from the fruit I added. Oats, chopped dates, raisins/sultanas, crushed hazelnuts, a few mixed seeds - who needs to add extra sugar, and it doesn't take that long to make up a week or two's worth. I'm waiting for smart-arse DIY-ers to be added to the WGMG list now. Dried Grapes and those who promote them. I had dried grapes and banana on my porridge this morning. Lovely. I get Flahavans oats. Their website has a porridge "recipe" using Bailey's Irish cream as a topping!!

Dorset Cereals do a couple of muesli that have no added sugar.

Sadly, after the weekend at Cheltenham, it doesn't seem to help their hearts

This may come as a shock to some, but the supermarket shelves are full of no added sugar muesli. It says so on the labels.

Sadly, after the weekend at Cheltenham, it doesn't seem to help their hearts I suspect that flogging them to make them run faster doesn't help.

I don't mind muesli but I prefer granola. And yes, of course I make my own.

Samuel Johnson: "In England we wouldn't think of eating oats. We only feed them to Horses." Boswell: "Well, maybe that's why in England you have better horses, and in Scotland we have better men".

I fancy trying the Baileys but I need to drive later and I suspect the polis would object to me having half a bottle of B for brekkie.

I get Flahavans oats. Their website has a porridge "recipe" using Bailey's Irish cream as a topping!! Send recipe immediately! Reminds me I must try and get a bottle of Bailey's* I only ever really drink it as a Xmas nightcap but now if I can find someway to add it to my Xmas dinner (Xmas pud with Baileys or mince pies? Or both?) I can start the day with Bailey's porridge and end it with a Bailey's nightcap (if I get that far) (* the Co-Op version is cheaper and nice as is the Lidl one)

British Gas, they've now billed me nearly £450 for the last quarter when we're still arguing about the rest of the year because they are unable to simply send someone to just read the meter! (before you ask I can't reach either of them)
Solution: they're coming next Tuesday to fit a smart meter. I told them they tried that in June and it didn't work (the cover for the gas meter is damaged and they won't do it until it's fixed, which their engineer was supposed to have reported and may or may not have done I don't know) and the fireswitch is in the way but no one seems to know who is responsible for moving it) but they're insisting it will at some point!

So called "influencer's" I was out having a drink and dinner with a friend and he left so I was just finishing my beer and got talking to this couple sitting next to me One of them claimed he was an influencer and when I stood up to go he literally snatched my crutch out of my hand as I was leaning on it, causing me to nearly fall over so he could pose for his "fan's" with the comment "Look at me! Cripple chic!" I just wanted to get home or I'd be posting this from Forest Gate police station!
