I know some of us are large format users so lets have a thread for all things larger than roll film.
I will start off with my Sinar F which has just come out of hibernation, it was last used when I still had a dark room so about eleven years ago.
Not a very exciting picture and I am not sure when or where I am going to use it.
Please feel free to add images taken on large format or pictures of large format cameras.

Can't claim to have got much use from mine so far, but I plan to get film through one of them in the next month. I got as far as putting the Toyo deluxe together at the start of the year, but lunch time finished before I got it properly focused let alone film loaded. Working out a suitable option for the shutter on my 5" barrel lens is proving awkward: A challenging lens by Mike Kanssen, on Flickr I probably ought to dig out one of my more normal lenses to begin with. Just heard my third LF camera is ready for collection - it has a focal plane shutter but I doubt the front lens board is big enough for my awkward 150mm/1.2 Given the price paid there are no doubt other issues to deal with too.

I'm going to stop reading this thread, on the grounds of bank balance protection..... My latest LF camera was £50 with a lens, hardly expensive.

My latest LF camera was £50 with a lens, hardly expensive. You're not helping, y'know! Leaving aside my above under used Sinar, I really have desires on a folding 54 view camera, probably cost me more than £50 though.
I figure one would be more portable, therefore it would be more used.
I also fancy playing with brass lenses which would require a shutter, also expensive.
Ho Hum, you can't take it with you...

I collected my 'new' camera today, a Thornton Pickard Reflex Junior Special (apparently made between 1926 & 1935) Unfortunately it seems to be the smallest model made (quarter plate or 3.5x2.5") somewhat borderline as to if it's considered large format or not. The camera & lens seem to be in better condition than the listing implied, but I now have to track down suitable plate holders & order up some dry plates... I've spent an hour today looking at listings/completed sales for both camera & lens (a Taylor Hobson 6"/4.5 'cooke anastigmat') - I don't think I found a single copy of the lens selling for less than twice what I paid for camera & lens, a few were over £200 And for those like Keith who want to play with brass lenses, this camera has a focal plane shutter. I'm not sure how easily I can mount other lenses, this one uses a 2.25" RPS flange. I know stepping rings etc were made for royal photographic society lens mounts, but I've not seen any sold as such (or labeled as TTH which many apparently are). SK Grimes will make them but at $85-175 plus postage I'll skip that option! Large diameter screw threads are one thing my DIY skills are woefully inadequate at.

I had one of those many years ago, came from the family business. In theory, i still have it, but as I've not seen it for over 30 years, I suspect not... I got some FP3 (I think) plates with it. First one I developed, I managed to wash the emulsion off....

You need a lathe, vintage machinery is another rabbit hole of a hobby to get into. I've got a basic wood lathe (not right for threads I know) but no room in the workshop to set it up. More importantly I don't have the skills to do threads even if I had the tools. Bribing one of the fitters at work to knock something up is probably my best option.

Pinhole photography can be a nice gateway drug to hardcore large format stuff.

I've process my first 5x4 shot now (using the lens I shared above but with a paper aperture to reduce exposure slightly. Unflashed direct positive paper, stand developed in Caffenol) I've got a whole series of improvements to make in both shooting & processing, but I'll share an image of the print to give you something to laugh at: Terrible subject choice, poor exposure, tannin contamination, impure vitamin C... the list goes on! My next effort will be more conventional using a shutter & film till I've got the basics down
