A pity about Carrie and the children. Boris is a bit of a cad really. Its not the first time he has walked out on his offspring. At least with his speaking engagements he should be able to pay for their maintenance and education. No it is not. She is obnoxious but not stupid. She knew the score... |

Apropos my crime reporting post. The theft happened yesterday at about 3pm. D-in-Law used a friend's phone to call me and give me details. I reported it to the police (online) and to the insurance company (LV) at about 4pm. At the time I didn't have proof of purchase to hand so I sent that by email at about 7am this morning.
For the urgency reasons mentioned in my other post I phoned the insurance at 8am, when they opened, to check that they had all they needed and to get an idea of how long they would take. To my delight and amazement, they 'settled' there and then. The money is on its way to me!!
Now that really is service!!

A broad-bodied chaser, or similar dragonfly, is scouting round my garden today. Never seen one here before, so the pond must be bringing the insects in!

Just spent an entire day at our local National Trust Scotland property with Jean's Bothy - the mental health and wellbeing hub where I deliver the photography programme. I can usually only get there on a Friday and Saturday because...well, work. But today I was able to join a 'mindfulness walk', did some chair yoga, foraged for edible plants to supplement a very lovely lunch under a gazebo, took the photography walk down to the 'burn' (stream), nattered and then joined the creative writing group. What a lovely, lovely day of self-care, good company and sunshine it has been!
