For a second I misread that last sentence, and no I'm not committing to what I thought it said. You and me both... You would both fail your so-called reading test!

You would both fail your so-called reading test! Comprehension, surely? Indeed - but school seems to classify that as 'reading' test. It was comprehension for me too. Perhaps that's too difficult a word for them to understand?

Tuesday, the forecast promised Edinburgh at least 7 days of wall to wall sunshine. Wednesday exposed this as a lie. Now, the "window of good weather starting" continues to move out a head of us reminding me of trying to find the crock of gold at the end of the rainbow. RTBC? The case of beer I ordered on Tuesday arrived today.

After a week where the bills simply ate my wages Monday night I realised this panel I scan for to get points to equal vouchers had finally reached the point where I could claim a prepaid Mastercard for £100- 48 pouches of cat food arrived yesterday and 24 cans arrive in the next few days and a couple of cases of beer arrive tomorrow
Okay there are some people who will say if money is tight why am I getting the beers in?
Because I like a couple of cans of an evening and now I won't be buying any cat food or beers for a fortnight, which means my wages will last longer and the money saved can go on getting some other bits paid
If I can only get the so and so's at work to sort out when I go permanent and an agreeable salary (or for that matter get something else) then I can see a flicker of light at the end of the tunnel that may not be an oncoming train

Tidying my desk I came across a vehicle tax reminder that I had not actioned. Have been driving 'untaxed' for a while.
RTBC is that I wasn't 'nabbed'
In a similar vein I once drove for 12 months without MOT. Only discovered when I came to pay tax. Happily I wasn't nabbed then either.

Having been in similar situations myself, I can assure you that the odd pleasure is essential for sanity.

Going purely on the evidence in front of us, we'd have to presume that it didn't.
