Dunno about Ealing being posh I'm just hoping the job doesn't turn out to be an Ealing comedy

Tonight my grandson's basketball team played their first ever game and they won. He decided to start his own team in March, and since then he has organised, recruited and built this team virtually single handed. They start in the league next week. I am so proud of him. Well done Spike. Oh and he had me taking photos...

We went to a great little Oliviero Toscani exhibition on Sunday, some of the photographs were quite apt for todays situations considering they were 30-60 years ago.

Today, I went to the F1 exhibition at the Excel Centre with my daughter, who is a great F1 fan. Was interesting, especially the engineering side.
It was my first time on public transport in several years, including bus, train, tube and Docklands Light Railway. It was only my third time on the HS1 track, and the trains are Hitachi Javelins, which are dual voltage. They run on conventional lines using the third rail system at 750V. However, when they get onto the HS1 track, they use the overhead 25kV cables and get a bit of a shift on, up to 140mph.

Just found that it is possible to get the Adobe Photography pack with 20GB for £80 via Amazon codes still. Only bothered as we just got a new printer for photos (Canon Pro-200) which is the size of a house.

HS2 cash would have paid for electrification of Midland Mainline several times over (at least 30x at last count) the change leftover would have improved the vast majority of lines to the 1950s standard...

Somebody on FB residents group complaining about their car and registration plate being posted on FB for parking like crap. She posted looking for others to agree with her but so far there's about 70 comments tearing her a new one and she still thinks she is in the right...most amusing .
