A couple of months back I bought Julie a mobility scooter off eBay for £300. We had a little windfall and decided to upgrade to something more off road capable. The RTBC, the dealer offered us £700 in trade-in. Local, independent, family run business who understands the value of goodwill in the form of recommendations. I even told him how much we'd bought it for and he was astounded as he reckons he'll make a profit on it at £700 outlay. Bought off EBay? Sure it wasn’t the one you nicked in Oxford?😀

Well so far I haven't been close passed on the new to me ebike.
Turns out it is only a 500w motor but for whatever reasons the display peaks at around 850w and the 500w is just the continuous rating. Either way it does a better job of keeping up with traffic and preventing childish tantrums from drivers with their close passing protests. Could definitely do with bigger gears though and funnily enough the battery wants charging about twice as often as the 250w motor.
Slight dilemma though...this weekend I'm fixing bikes at an event the police will be security tagging bikes at. Maybe I should take a slower bike there!?

Shopping trip to Tesco brilliant from start to finish. Bus as soon as I got to the stop. Tesco layout now brilliant. Selection so much better than the Co-op and got things I hadn't seen for ages. Went to queue and a young employee grabbled my basket and led me to a newly opened till. Went through with a smiling young man chatting to me. Bill at least a third less than my usual Co-op one. Got home. sliced a ciabatta roll, put my prosciutto cotto on it, opened the sweet juicy watermelon and munched my lunch with pleasure.
I will be going there again.

Tesco deliver here, two options, "Whoosh" order delivered within 1 hour limited selection, £30 minimum order, or select a 1 hour slot on a following day with larger selection £60 minimum order.

You'd be better to get a taxi both ways and get pushed round in a wheelchair. Not with the local cost of taxis! Only advantages I can see would be slightly larger selection and no minimum outlay, however I have not had a problem with minimum order cost.

Kate, do you remember the old joke about manifestos/election campaigning vs day after winning? Fingers crossed for you though!

The Manx missile strikes again Ahem. I'll let this go but if you make it obvious it will have to be in the other subject-specific thread. But wow!

Three films currently hanging up over the bath. All from pre-WW2 cameras.
Aside from the format, which is a bit of a giveaway, the negs from the Rolleiflex just look *amazing* compared to the others.
Off to buy bits for Caffenol tomorrow.
