City and Rangers both lost their cup finals today.  This morning in Manchester City centre I was approached by a friendly local bag head beggar clutching his beer. He asked me, in a typical manc accent, who I thought was going to win the football (I had no idea who was playing in a football match today) I told him I’d rather eat my own eyeballs than watch football, and I didn’t have a clue. He started on a sweary rant at me and told me I must be the only person who didn’t like football. It was followed by more unfriendly language. Lol. He wasn’t that friendly after all. |

Well there were signs of questionable judgement... We had a lot of Utd fans in Edinburgh last summer as they played a friendly here (against a European team, not Scottish). They didn't do anything to endear themselves either. |

Got to Holland. Finally got onto WiFi and rejoined the 21st century 36 hours later. We won today by two runs, off the last ball.
Mind you, my travel plug has gone AWOL from the hotel room. I can't imagine that any of the staff would want it, I reckon it rolled off the shelf into the bin. Rather restricts my ability to charge camera batteries, much as I love Roly he's not too good for action shots at long range.

St. Johnstone have stayed up! What's happening with Ross County? Do you know? They've won in the playoff against wannabe promotion chaser, so stay up. I think that's how it works. |

More people went to watch Southampton v Leeds today, than went to watch the Manchester teams in the F.A. Cup final yesterday.
Also Leeds United didn't get promoted to the Premier League.

More people went to watch Southampton v Leeds today, than went to watch the Manchester teams in the F.A. Cup final yesterday. Also Leeds United didn't get promoted to the Premier League. Most people in the wider footballing community didn't want three of those teams to win... 4, more likely. |

You're not alone my entire interest in the game for years was if West Ham were at home or not because I live near the ground and it made the local pubs uninhabitable if they were apart from when the game was actually on Yesterday the Half Moon broke tradition and showed the FA cup final they made a big thing about it for weeks and when I popped in, I have never seen it so deserted! |
