The first wild fledged Osprey in 180 years has returned to it's birthplace in Poole Harbour after 2 years maturing in Africa. Sadly one up here died in mysterious (aye right) circumstances. |

It's looking promising for Poole this year. The breeding pair returned and 'Beaky', a wild female that migrates through the harbour was hanging around for longer than normal and she had staked a claim to one of the nesting platforms. Unfortunately the birds of Poole Harbour website appears to be down, so I was unable to check her current status. |

The greenhouse hopefully sorted for Summer. I am a bit late this year and am growing on bought in plants. Bought in plants give me more varieties than I would grow from seed. There are 3 varieties of tomatoes and 4 of chillies.

I'll try to post a pic later, but it looks as though we have an egg in the swift box! It got dark so fast tonight the swifts were in before I thought of taking a shot. I just hope they shift the large piece of crud they've somehow jammed across the box right in front of the camera. |
