Let's face it, whoever is elected US foreign policy, environmental policy, and economic policy will remain unchanged and they're the only things to effect me. As a nation we can hardly act superior. Picking on foreign policy as the extreme example, you may be the only person on the planet who believes Trump's foreign policy will be same as Biden's. I'm hard pressed to think of major divergences beyond Ukraine. In just about every other regard, business as usual. Interestingly the last week or so has seen some comment from Israeli sources that regardless of whether Netanyahu 'prefers' Trump, they are worried about him. The thought is Harris would be steadfast, whereas Trump could potentially be more transactional, and any perception of disrespect or Israel moving away from the US approved actions may result in him actually stopping the military aid. Ideologically he's as on-board with the genocides as Harris and Biden, but he knows he has power and is less restrained than they are. Speculation, but interesting anyway.

Our poll results are based on the perception of people having brains 🧠 but once again the orange man has been elected I voted that I expected the wotsit to win, but I'm genuinely surprised by the margin of victory and it also looks like a rare popular vote win for a Republican too. Didn't see that coming.

Picking on foreign policy as the extreme example, you may be the only person on the planet who believes Trump's foreign policy will be same as Biden's. Do you think it will be radically different, or just more extreme in the same direction? Trump is full of bluster and soundbites, but the administration in his last term wasn't as extreme as he would have liked. Do you believe his policies on the Ukraine and NATO will more extreme than Biden but in the same direction? This is my last on this topic as I do not believe in running around because someone wants to take a radical stance in order to provoke an argument. As I told JohnY on more than one occasion.

Looking at numbers, it seems Trump has secured that popular vote and presidency on significantly fewer than his last win. The margin appears to be Democrats losing votes. There were FEWER votes given for an explicitly right wing candidate, and FEWER for a centre-right candidate running on a campaign which focused on right-wing talking points. And yet I just know the Democrats will think they just needed to be more right wing to win, and will try that next time.

Any Lee Harvey Oswald eemulators about? Be sure to get Vance as well. Musk would be a bonus too.
