A very large section of the world.

A very large section of the world. At the cost of the rest of it? That's too heavy a price for me to accept, when the margin of damage limitation is about the diameter of a tardigrade's bawhair!

Clearly not all of it, Harris has made it clear that e.g. Palestinian and Lebanese lives have no value to the US.

That nice Mr Trump speaks (and lies) with all the subtlety of a mentally deranged person on steroids, whereas his opponent appears to try to speak rationally and (naively?) believes enough of the electorate will have an attention span long enough to listen to what she says. If Mr Trump told his supporters that Democrats would eat their (his supporters) children, most would believe him.
Whenever one of them talks about crime, gun control is always ignored or not followed up. Anybody who dares to quote from the US Constitution (Second Amendment Right to Bear Arms) and then asks how many gun owners are members of a 'well regulated militia' has no chance of being elected, so everybody ignores it because the gun lobby is so powerful. Some of you may recall the scene in 'The Terminator' in which Arnie looks for weapons at a gun shop, and selects various items including a Uzi and the owner's response is something like 'any of these would be ideal for home defence'. He's not required to ask which 'regulated militia' Arnie is a member of, and tells him that whilst he can take the rifles immediately, there will be delay (for background checks) on hand guns, so Arnie shoots him with one of them.
'A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed.'

Clearly not all of it, Harris has made it clear that e.g. Palestinian and Lebanese lives have no value to the US. No useful natural resources there.

What I find interesting in this sort of discussion is the difference between idealism and pragmatism. Sometimes, the lesser of evils has to be chosen.

As my wife said “why do we care?” I think it was Frank Zappa that described politics as the entertainment arm of the military industrial complex.

As my wife said “why do we care?” Because the winner will have 'access' to a large arsenal of nuclear weapons, and the US bases in the UK will remain 'primary targets' for somebody else who also has a large nuclear arsenal. Perhaps the God in whom Mr. Trump claims/pretends to believe has a conscience and he/she could arrange a lightning bolt so that team Trump cannot blame somebody else (which is often their response).

I fear I was right. I reckon TRump has it.
As someone in another place has just said, Harris is the American Starmer.
