Looks like the Dems shouldn't have sought endorsements from Republicans, chastised the families of people they are killing, dangled women's rights as a carrot rather than actually securing them, and kept signing off on the weapons to Israel. But Hillary will feel better knowing she wasn't the *only* candidate who couldn't beat the most hated man in the country.

And there is no way I would visit the USA now. As far as I'm concerned it's now a pariah state.

Too many knuckle dragging red-necks. To be fair last time around the demographics showed it wasn't 'rednecks' that elected him, it was middle income conservatives, small business owners etc. But obviously the dodgy electoral college system plays a major part alongside historical gerrymandering of electoral districts etc.

Let's face it, whoever is elected US foreign policy, environmental policy, and economic policy will remain unchanged and they're the only things to effect me. As a nation we can hardly act superior.

For several weeks, he's been denouncing the election process as "rigged", so presumably we can look forward to him re-affirming that claim. . . . . . . . . . . Or not.

Sounds like Farage during the week before the Brexit vote he was saying that if Remain won 52/48 then they'd have to be another vote to get a clear winner. He soon changed his tune. Too many knuckle dragging red-necks. I don't think it was just them, I think there are still a lot of people over there who would never vote for a Woman - no matter what party they stood for

Officially a Trump victory now.

I genuinely fear for anyone who isn't a straight white male in Trump's America.
In a faint ray of hope, perhaps only twilight's last gleaming before the long night falls, six states have voted to enshrine abortion rights in their constitutions.

On the last bit, the requirement for a supermajority in Florida was why it failed there, but there was still a majority in favour. This also points to structural issues being more to blame than the general population.

Yes, sorry I should have mentioned that Florida had a majority of 57% which just fell short of the required 69% which was heartbreaking.

Picking on foreign policy as the extreme example, you may be the only person on the planet who believes Trump's foreign policy will be same as Biden's.

Picking on foreign policy as the extreme example, you may be the only person on the planet who believes Trump's foreign policy will be same as Biden's. Do you think it will be radically different, or just more extreme in the same direction? Trump is full of bluster and soundbites, but the administration in his last term wasn't as extreme as he would have liked.
