Ah well, it started out in a promising different style, but ended up a bit goldilocks and the three bears. Ready for something a bit more challenging. Did the bears ever find out who had been sleeping in their porridge? Oh yes, and they all lived happily ever after.

Currently reading this: www.waterstones.com/book/tomorrow-and-tomorrow-and-tomorrow/gabrielle-zevin/9781784744649The book cover made me think of a glitter-addicted preteen who'd just discovered clip art and as I'm not a 'gamer' I really didn't expect to enjoy this one at all. Additionally it has one of those 'other author quotes' on the front saying how good it is, by an author I really don't like so I wasn't sure I'd be bothered to finish all 400 odd pages of it by the time our next book club meeting came around. It is much better than my preconceptions led me to believe though!

Don't shoot me please.
I'm reading a copy of a newspaper called "The Light". Given to me by the strange, antivax, conspiracy theorist friend that I have. The paper is devoted to conspiracy theories, contains pseudo-science 'papers' written by anonymous authors and all in all it's quite scary.
I have to admit that the existence of such stuff was unknown to me and finding it is quite disturbing.

Yes I know. It was that piece that led to me being given a copy. I saw the BBC thing and guessed that The Light would be the sort of thing to appeal to my friend and so mentioned it to him.
Sure enough he reads it and offered to give me a copy.
Mick
PS I also find it scary that my friend (and yes I would call him a friend - but that's another story) absolutely mistrusts the BBC but is wedded to stuff such as The Light and also to other weird websites.
