Recyclable - Which most packaging isn't in the UK and either gets burnt, ends up in a landfill, or is exported to Turkey for who knows what purpose.

McDonalds Restaurant ! - Don't even get me started on the comparisons between this so called restaurant and one that sells real food. A restaurant is simply a place where food is cooked and eaten on the premises. Nowhere in the definition does it elude to the quality, or lack of, of the food served.

Oh yes, 'artisan' used as an adjective instead of artisanal. People who do that make an arse of themselves.

Oh yes, 'artisan' used as an adjective instead of artisanal. People who do that make an arse of themselves. Which reminds me, the misuse of 'bespoke'.

On the misuse of words. Having had the latest Covid jab yesterday (and the Flu one last week), I am struggling to remember just when NHS political correctness dictated that health professionals were required to warn "you'll feel a little scratch", because it doesn't feel like a scratch at all. I've taken our practice nurse to task on this on several occasions. She always says "sharp scratch" as she's about to insert an hypodermic needle. I was wondering if the reason was that folk younger than me by a small number of years would be unfamiliar with pins and consequently pin-pricks. When we were kids all our clothes, other than underwear, socks and school ties for some reason, were home-made and you couldn't get through a fitting session, where everything was held together with pins, without getting stuck a few times. Plus safety pins were always a bit of a fumble to undo. Our children and their children didn't have to go through this, everything clothing wise was shop-bought. I think the first bought clothing I had was a blazer for secondary school.

Obviously they don't want men saying "it's bigger than that" at an inopportune moment
