Samyang have announced a new AF modular lens system. E-mount only at this time. There's a relatively slim and light outer body into which you can insert one of three optical units, 21/3.5, 28/3.5, or 32/2.8.
Looks like a genuine innovation but I've a degree of trepidation given that the release references film look and I've not seen any samples. Are we to assume it's (they're?) a softer lens optimised for shooting stopped well down?

An interesting idea, which others have tried...the Duo Tamron, and the Enna Sockel system. Back in the days of "hand and stand" cameras, there were convertible lenses, too.
