I was meeting up with some mates, in Winnipeg, some of whom I hadn't seen in 35-40 years and took two snaps of the group with my camera and posted them to FB. I, then, got a text message from one of the lads asking me if I could send him the snaps directly. Sure, no problem, I just PM them to you on FB. No, that way, just text them to me. I said, the only way that could happen would be if I were to use my phone to snaps the snaps on my laptop and, then, text them to you. Perfect was the response . Is this weird or is it just me for only using my laptop for social media, emails, etc ....?
Confused in Winnipeg Jack

Confused in Winnipeg Jack If you have a smartphone (I'm used to Apple) you can email yourself the photo, copy it to the phone from the email then add it to an imessage. Won't work with SMS text.

I took the snaps with my Pentax DSLR, Pete, and, somewhat ironically, have only used Apple laptops but have only use Android smartphones Cheers, Jack

I assumed that, given you had put the images on FB already, you had scanned them.

Can you connect your phone to your laptop using USB? I expect there are ways to do it wirelessly too but I find a cable easier.

The easiest way is as peterob suggested. Once you've got the photos on your computer (and edited if required) save them as jpegs and email them to yourself. Then open your email app on your phone, save the photos and you'll then be able to WhatsApp them to the person.

Bluetooth, or NFC (if available on both devices, of course ).

Windows users can use WhatsApp from their computor. Users of other operating systems can use WhatsApp Web from their browser. In both cases you also need to have WhatsApp on your phone.
