A trick of the eye. A stand alone dress. It is actually a furled umbrella in a set-aside area used for wedding receptions. It is used to protect a serving table used for drinks/snacks against inclement weather. At a casual glance it looks like an abandoned dress. I used too long a focal length for this - distracted by the fact that the camera was 90% toward seizing up (which it later did). DSCF8346.jpg by Pete, on Flickr

After I fixed the camera. I don't know if this is Shore or not. It seemed to stand out against the background but was quite alone. DSCF8369.jpg by Pete, on Flickr I'd just taken this, which gave me the idea but is a bit too busy for theme. DSCF8368.jpg by Pete, on Flickr

More architectural. The houses move closer. DSCF8371.jpg by Pete, on Flickr From the bedroom window just now. I'm pretty sure that there is still a row to go in between us and them. The foundations have been in behind us for some weeks - I can't really see the bottom of the scaffolding but the red house is a way off - this is a 100 mm lens (on APS-C).

That reminds me of the bench at Attingham Park that I quite like. Pictures shown here lots of times. It annoys me that it isn't level like yours is! DSCF2521.jpg by Pete, on Flickr DSCF0820.jpg by Pete, on Flickr

Thinking of Attingham. The Wicker Lady they had in the courtyard in 2020 looked incongruous. I messed around for ages trying to get a suitable framing. If I remember correctly the doorway behind is a busy one (I think it is the entrance to the toilets) so avoiding people was difficult. 274A1014.jpg by Pete, on Flickr

Time flies! It is the end of the month and I have some great pictures to look at and some comments and observations to make. I will draw a line at 6PM this evening so if anyone has that last picture or two they have been mulling over go for it. I intend to post my thought and pick a winner by 9PM unless anything else disturbers my 'Peaceful' ( TM kate ) summer.

Thank you all for playing this month.
The award for going beyond what is expected for a SSC theme - Nige all the way to Detroit. The award for for finding some new influence and taking to it - Dans The award for most out of depth and taking to it like an Olympic swimmer - Peterob The award for been there done that - Kath (Only because Kate is a grass. )
Sort of in the order that they were posted.
Dans, the telegraph pole and road cones how could I not like that, good time was great too. Kath, I liked the Park Pavilion Books I thought it was a mural at first and a nice bench shot in James St. Garden. Kate, a bit of a football score from you, Table on a pavement 1 , Croft 2 I like them both. PeteRob, A Shelter and the first Bodnant Path. Nige, Tree bench shadow more of my favourite things, and the Detroit ones... .No refund and Freedom is not Free. Jack, I do like the Manitoba winter but I can't think who it reminds me of.
I would say that in the later instagram phase of his work I can see peterob 's DSCF8369 which is the green flower spike fitting right in. If not People don't care is good too.

Oh gosh. How did that happen? Seems a bit unfair on those that understood what the theme was all about! Thank you for the kind words. As for August, I'll have to sleep on it - I'm not good at ideas for themes.
