My wife hates this. It is an original oil painting of a still life that we inherited from her parents. It is so well done and I love it. She'd get rid of it tomorrow. it is so different to any other art work we own. Still Life by Nigel G, on Flickr

Not a classic at all, far, far too young, but looking really out of place in a National Trust car park. Powis Castle, June, 2010 No idea what it is, but any bump in the road must be awkward. Dunno how he/she got in or out of the car park because you have to go over a small ridge. IMG_0051.jpg by Pete, on Flickr Our car is only 27 this year - so 13 to go before it makes classic. Edit - but nevertheless, since the sports car isn't classic. I found a picture when it was still shiny, back in 2009. We were coming back from holiday and spotted a twin so parked next to it and took a pic for the record. The design still looks good (in my eyes) today. Ours is 43 cars older. I didn't take this as I was nothing but a twinkle in my dad's eye. This is him with his first car, a Rover 75 (P3). I remember it as a child and loved it growing up. We still had it until I was 10 or so, but it was just garaged and never used for years. IIRC it was sold on for banger racing which is a shame. scan043 by Nigel G, on Flickr

Not a classic at all, far, far too young, but looking really out of place in a National Trust car park. Powis Castle, June, 2010 According to HMRCs definition a Classic car has to be 15 years old & worth at least £15,000 - but they only become tax exempt on reaching Historic status (over 40) In the UK we also have Veteran cars are roughly pre WW1 (some sources split this into pre 1905 as veteran, with 1905-1919 being Edwardian) Vintage cars are either 1919-1930 or 1919 to end of WW2 depending on definition (1930-1945 can be classed as post vintage). In my mind they can be considered classics as well, definitions on Forums like this tend to be much wider FWIW I suspect your mystery (track day) car would now fit the HMRC definition if it's been well maintained I think I got images of cars from every decade of last century while at Goodwood earlier in the year. It was quite odd to watch a race where all the cars were over 100 years old. I'll see if I can get some of those uploaded (currently none are on-line)...
