A working Ambi Silette, with all of its lenses. The 35mm lens (on the left) arrived with the courier yesterday.

Seeing this, I wonder what one might expect to pay for a Nikon F Photomic with motor drive and “all” the lenses. Or the equivalent from Canon, Pentax etc.

I accumulated it over a long time. The largest cost was paying Chris Sherlock to overhaul the camera shutter.

I accumulated it over a long time. The largest cost was paying Chris Sherlock to overhaul the camera shutter. In your case “all” the lenses amounted to four items plus a viewfinder. I’m not sure how many pre-AI lenses Nikon made but it is certainly more than 4 and I know at least one of them sells, on the rare occasions one is available, for in excess of £20,000, remarkably, Grays of Westminster actually have one a 10mm f/5.6 fisheye. They also have a 6mm f/5.6 fisheye at £14,999, under 100 were ever made. A Nikon F high speed with motor drive could be £18,500 from a specialist dealer or a basic one from eBay at under £300. Thus, owning “all” the lenses would cost comfortably in excess of £40,000. To be fair, your acquisition looks great and, I suspect, was rather more affordable.

Apples and oranges - rangefinder cameras rarely have lenses longer than 135mm, without special gear like the Visoflex. Extreme wide angles weren't a thing when the Ambi Silette was made. All of the lenses are rangefinder coupled, the camera has built in frame lines for the 35, 50 and 90 mm lenses, and the 130 uses the accessory viewfinder.

I bought one of those just so I could put it on a shelf and just look at it. Unfortunately it is now in the loft with most of my camera gear . My wheelchair 🦼 won’t climb the loft ladder 🤣 all I use now is my Panasonic TZ 90 and I can’t use that very well anymore 😢 I’m even worse than I was before I got incapacitated. I think it’s time for a clear out and send my gear to MPB or PARK CAMERAS.
