Photographer touring Scotland and Ireland using wet collodion. Some dodgy looking plates... but that shot of the Black Cuillin looks like something out of the Viking's hell!

As soon as I saw the name I expected it would mention the just released book. Have often wondered how much it costs to get the beeb to do an ad like this.

I expect many will having seen the images in the article, but do be sure to check out more of his work, much of it is top notch.

Yes - looking at the link at the bottom, I realise we saw some of his work being exhibited large in Gairloch last summer - not all to my taste, but some stunners in there.

I was very amused by the revelation that he had midgies stuck in his collodion!

That corny expression could be updated - take just photos and midges, leave just footprints.

I could live with any one of those on my wall, except, perhaps, the second one. The last one I found particularly appealing.
