Misty Hollow. Not natural though. This was manmade mist when there was a sci-fi series being filmed on NT land near to my house. Misty hollow by Nigel G, on Flickr

Hollow tree. So hollow that they cut it down sometime last year. We went back last month to reprise the photographs and, after a few minutes, decided that the reason that we couldn't find the hole was that it was no longer there. There is a stand of Eucalyptus trees very close together and they must have taken this one (it was the third counting from the right) out. I guess this must count as hollow - wouldn't work half as well as intended if it were solid through and through. Dunno whyI made a mono version but that is the one on Flickr DSCF0395.jpg by Pete, on Flickr

Hollow For me hollow is a sound first and object second. So here's a hollow sound - for you to imagine. If you see the kilt pin she wears, that's exactly the same as the one I won at The Gaelic Mod for playing the piano. They must have bought a job lot! Ha! I would have thought it was the nearest you were allowed to a Sgian-dubh under current knife laws, but I appear to be wrong.

Dartmoor is covered in old workings which often manifest as small hollows in the landscape. I don't have any good pictures, which is surprising because they can be a good place to get out of the wind to shelter. This is about as close as I can get to showing part of one. I think this one from last night looks quite hollow May24 wool by Mike Kanssen, on Flickr I also got a hollow feeling when I found I'd knocked the focus on the last few attempts - all those with the spinner moving
