An Ebay nostalgia buying spree.
Identical to the camera and lens which I used in the mid / late 1980's but which was stolen from a girlfriend's hotel room when on loan to her.
The camera has a non working frame counter and the lens has slight fungus both generic faults with these items but as the total cost delivered was under £60 including a very clean 50mm f/2 Yashica ML standard lens, I am very happy.

I took it for a little walk yesterday, shot a few frames not sure how many for the obvious reason It did feel good that my shutter finger remembered the exact position and pressure required, muscle memory from all those years ago.

Basically slightly cut down versions of the COntax RTS, and for me, the right compromises. I like the lighter Contax cameras, and these just as much. But as you say, try finding one with a working frame counter.

But as you say, try finding one with a working frame counter. It looks like one simple plastic gear that is quite accessible with the top plate off that causes the failure, just as well I am rebuilding a watchmaker's milling machine.
