Down on the South East coast of Ireland - oft referred to as "the sunny south east" - but not that weekend. Normal landscape colour didn't work - dull, grey, wet, overcast day. So I tried some thing a little different for me (as if trying a landscape wasn't different enough for me). I was using a Nikon Z8 with a manual DX 7Artisans 7.5mm fisheye lens (no electronics) and used the rear articulated screen for the first time (I always shoot through the viewfinder) as I did not want to get wet. Camera was about 2" off the beach and I had to pull it up immediately after pressing the shutter otherwise it would have taken a (salty) bath. Does the shot work? The lens cost <3% of what the camera cost, yet I like the shot. Maybe its worth investing in the full frame version (its 10mm and costs $256 versus DX 7.5 for $139)

Definitely a keeper Adrian. Most effective use of a fisheye, I often find such lenses challenging to get interesting results.

Very dramatic and well done for getting the camera so level. I have never got such a straight horizon from my fish eye.

Sorry for not responding before now. Away for a few days with camera club. Thanks for the feedback. Yes, its hard to find shots to work with a fish eye - but that's what makes it such fun. And I am loving tge chinese lens. Very basic but surprisingly good, especially for the more "unusual" ones.
