Devil's Bridge IMG_2371edit20230918 by Keith Hudson, on Flickr Forest walk around the waterfalls at the Devil's Bridge or Three Bridges. Those steps were very wet, very steep and very slippery. There was a sign at the top warning of such and how small dogs should be carried!

There was a sign at the top warning of such and how small dogs should be carried! Some how I think a small dog would be far more stable than I would be if I was carrying said dog. holding the dog probably means you can't hold the handrail. I have to admit my experience is more with big dogs, having had to carry an old Labrador for over a mile - it turned out to be due to a heart attack, & nearly gave me one too! Very nice steps anyway

It is entirely possible that I may have a similar set of steps I did at one time spend a lot of time in the West End and would often return home via. Waterloo or London Bridge. I think the closest one to that I have is.
But I don't think it is the same set of steps.
I think they might be the same. Just behind Southbank Centre? They both have the pebble dashed type of panelling to the right of frame and mine is taken a few metres to the left of the steps going down to river level. Edit. They are the same. Here is another one I did. Same chunk of wall missing on the rear stipe. Ghosts that pass by Nigel G, on Flickr

I found this. The actual steps are not visible. This is a telephoto shot from quite far away so the "towers" appear much closer together than they really are. These are 3 out of I think 5 follies that presumably have internal staircase that leads from the higher level to the slopes of the cliff, whereupon there are further stairways to the beach. They are at the end of Llandudno beach just as it ends at the Little Orme. Quite peculiar to come across on a beach walk. Google maps in satellite view shows them up (well the tops anyway) quite well. DSCF7230.jpg by Pete, on Flickr

Camberwell New Cemetery IMG_8722edit20240114 by Keith Hudson, on Flickr Camberwell New Cemetery, new as in opened in 1901 in addition to Camberwell (Old) Cemetery 1855, both are not in Camberwell and still in use. This part of New was still a sports ground when we moved into the area thirty years ago so this is one of the new ist parts of Camberwell New Cemetery.

This is the old one I was thinking of. A lot of steps. IMG_0098.jpg by Pete, on Flickr I wondered where this was - thought maybe Valletta but I've just seen a colour version on FB and it's Liege, Belgium.
