When I was coaching rugby I used netball, but with no net and a rugby ball, as a training tool to improve awareness of space and movement. We used to train on the school AstroTurf and the local ladies netball team, who trained on the court next door, gave my colts team a lesson in humility when one of the lads cockily challenged them to a game.

They never learn. Once played mixed netball, never again, too much rough and tumble for such a sensitive soul.
