I found this last night while trying to reduce the number of non-keyworded photos in Lightroom. It is certainly lit from behind but whether it counts as contre-jour or not I don't know. Apparently (lot of searching) it was part of an art installation at Tatton Park in 2012 and is (or was) called 'Trine Messenger'. BV9R0142.jpg by Pete, on Flickr

I suppose this was shooting into the light too, though it's certainly not a traditional contre-jour shot House fly foot by Mike Kanssen, on Flickr

Co-incidentally, the book is/was being read on Radio4xtra last night.

The hob had cooled down to the point it no longer glowed in visual light, but my converted camera could still see the heat. The filter held over the left portion is an external 'hot mirror' similar to that fitted in front of the sensor on normal cameras. hob shot by Mike Kanssen, on Flickr

I remembered this from way back. I'm sure I used it for a theme on APForum. Gave me another chance to play with the AI de-noise. Although Adobe says to apply de-noise before any other edits it seems to make the de-noised DNG and then reapply any edits made. So instead of making a virtual-copy, resetting edits, making the DNG, deleting the virtual copy I've just been making the DNG, resetting, re-editing. 274A4630-Enhanced-NR.jpg by Pete, on Flickr I think I marginally prefer this one despite the distorted guy on the right in red. Exposure was 1/15th so there is motion blur in both pics. Here the man and boy are more engaged. 274A4629-Enhanced-NR.jpg by Pete, on Flickr
