I've got very few pictures of carriage drivers navigating obstacles and the course must be considered part of the equipment. 274A0090.jpg by Pete, on Flickr

Too many of mine are motorsports, but fortunately I've found something else suitable: IMGP7119 by Mike Kanssen, on Flickr Even though it was taken at the motorsport games.

How many did you tick off that first year? Westmalle Triple is a bad idea if you are thirsty and the day is warm. It is a dry taste and very moreish but also 9.8% v which gets to you quite quickly. Any of the Triple style would be similar, high alcohol content and more subtle flavours than the Doubles. I'd pick the doubles any day (they're still stronger than most beers). Westmalle is actually one of my favorites, I think Rochefort is the only one I've seen that beats it.

240210-sports badminton-001 BandW5 by Kath Polley, on Flickr I've started playing badly at badminton on a Thursday evening. It's a very casual group of members from Jean's Bothy but it gets me moving and I find it fun. We had been borrowing racquets from one of the other members until my youngest came home with two that she'd found in Oxfam for the princely sum of £7.99 the pair. Later that week I found a sleeve of shuttlecocks for £4. So now we're all kitted out for £6 each.

Not much musical really. This was another excuse to play with the Lightroom AI denoise - taken in 2017 with a 5Ds at ISO 6400. 274A4650-Enhanced-NR.jpg by Pete, on Flickr

Some more Morris music. I came across these end of March last year. Three troops were doing their first "gig" of the year on The Groves at Chester. It was very difficult to get a clear shot because the public were close-in all around, hence the side-on angle. I had with me a 100-400 lens intending to try some bird shots on the river. Not really the tool for this job. According to the EXIF the effective focal length was just under 400 mm. It rained later (a lot) and I (and they) got very wet. DSCF1755.jpg by Pete, on Flickr
