I had my camera on the tripod in a position that I knew wasn't very stable, trying to avoid getting the legs in shot for a flat lay composition. All was well until the cat came in, had a bit of a hissy fit and knocked it over. Camera seems fine, lens seems fine...it landed on the flash transmitter in the hotshoe. Now, it still works for the moment but is shedding bits of casing every time I pick it up so I don't know how long it's going to last. It was a Calumet Pro Transceiver set, dead simple to use. I can't see it for sale anywhere. It was this set which is available to hire in London: fatllama.com/rentals/london/hire--4channel-wireless-flashtrigger-kit--canon-calumet-pro-57290238however that's clearly not much good to me. Anyone got any recommendations?

In my ignorance I assumed that was a make of nice simple cheap flash transmitters but I see it is mouldable glue. I like it! I've just saved myself even more money however with judicious application of black electrical tape. (Even remembering not to tape up the bit you need to be able to remove for battery replacement.) Fingers crossed it holds good!

I suspect that this is a discontinued line. Wex still have the Nikon version at a price that seems to indicate an end of line.

I have a sneaky Suspicion that these are rebadged Phottix Strato IIs. I have them for Nikon. They are a decent bit of kit.

I looked for a canon version of these too, but couldn't see one. I really like the calumet ones - dead easy to use. My only gripe is that you have to remember to turn them off because they drain the battery even if they're not actively being used. Anyway, I've bodged the transmitter back together for now.

Yes, I've had the same problem with mine.

Thanks Geoff, but it's not a remote shutter release that I need. This is for triggering my studio flash heads. I think some models probably do both.

Oops, sorry, I obviously missed something somewhere. I have this, Flash trigger except that mine came with two receivers. Mine is Nikon dedicated and I have had it for several years.
