Being reflective is generally a positive exercise, taking the opportunity to quantify performance and to learn from experience. With that in mind, what was your key takeaway from 2023 with regard to your photography?
For me, #1 is absolutely realising that I wasn't sharpening images well. Whether analogue scans or digital raw files, I paid almost no attention to sharpening and wish I'd cottoned on years ago.
#2 was learning about video. From nothing to fairly confident in a couple of months, it's been fun learning a completely new aspect of photography. Not without its challenges, but a journey I have enjoyed.
What about you?

Hybrid focus modes, essentially different focus modes on different buttons, so shutter is 3D tracking, back AF On is 72 point and lens function button is 153 point. Seem to work well.

There's always room for another box camera somewhere.

I learned that - despite deciding to sell my MF Bronica - actually making myself sell it is far harder than I thought it would be.

It's an SQ-a.

Must see if mine still works. It still has half a film in one back and a whole film in the spare back. I think the last picture taken was our grandson (now nearly 9) crawling - so at 7-8 years ago.

What did I learn? At some point - probably last year - I decided I was over-saturating landscapes so i've been dialling down the colours a bit when processing.

So if you can't bear to part with it terminally, and it's getting used, why the thoughts about a sale?

Despite using it a few weeks ago, I hadn't used it for six or eight months, prior to that. I'm uncomfortable with having good equipment sitting around doing nothing.

Well at least it's looking good on the shelf, right? I rather fancy a nice 6x6 but they have always been out of reach. Dream was a Rollei SL66 with its built in movement but £££ then and even more now. The simplicity and sheer handsomeness of the Bronica S2 also appealed. How about I give you £20 for the job lot, you ok with that?
