I suspect that many of us are hoarders who would never dream of parting with a loved camera, even if obsolete or broken beyond repair, but is there once which got away? One you regret selling, or was stolen, or a tempting second hand someone pipped you to?
Mine's a Nikon SP in what appeared to be 'shooter' condition, in a camera store in Osaka. Looked at it many times in the window, never had the guts to go for it.

I was given a Kodak Retinette 1B that I passed on to and Oxfam camera sale. Yewars later regretted it, bought another... can I get the shutter to work for more than a few activations? Can I thump!

Not stolen. but read and weep!
I had a pretty complete Rollei 2000 system - the only 35mm system with interchangeable backs, with the following lenses:- Zeiss 50mm f:1.4 Zeiss 28mm f:2.0 Zeiss 35mm f:1.4 Zeiss 85mm f:1.4 Zeiss 135mm f:2.8 Rolleinar 21mm f:4.0 Rolleinar 200mm f:3.5
It was all in a single bag, with three extra backs, sitting on a low bookcase shelf in my office - the old stables for the house. One night of absolutely torrential rain, that blocked the drains, the office flooded to a depth of two feet. The Rollei kit was sat all night in liquid mud which penetrated everything, and was diagnosed as 'beyond economic repair' by the local repair shop.
To say I was gutted would be an understatement.

That's dreadful. I'd have still kept them though and reminisced occasionally.

Years ago, I visited a pharmacy which had a used camera counter, and looked at a Nikon F which they wanted $180 for. I decided it was too dear, regretted it, went back to the shop - and the camera was gone.

Years ago LCE in the Strand had a 54 Speed Graphic and lens for not a lot of money which I gazed at in the display cabinet next to some older Leica RF kit. I did not think much of it at the time but as time goes on I feel the need for a folding 54, not that I would use it but it would keep my Sinar F company.

Probably the most affordable 8x10. On my bucket list.

Yer perhaps, I have followed them for a while, a Shen Hao would be nice but I don't like them ten times as much.

When I was in the British Army ( RAMC) in Germany we had a dealer visit the BMH Berlin where I worked in the Path Lab with Cameras -- he had a battered LEICA 111 with 50mm f2 Summar and a CONTAX 111 with 50mm f1.5 SONNAR for equivalent of £38 so I bought the CONTAX -- uncoated lens flared -- was soft etc -- then I was sent to BMH Iserlohn in the British Zone and there was the Canadian Maple Leaf store where I got a Braun Hobby electronic Flash for £14 when they were over £39 in UK IF you could get one -- so I was paying off the CONTAX monthly but in the Store were BRAND NEW LEICA IIIf with 50mm f3.5 Coated ELMARS for £45 -- a fortune -- but I had the blasted pre-war Contax ----
