Unfortunately, the seller expects a higher price than I'm prepared to pay.

It would be nice to have it just to sit and watch it 😂 shame the seller has knowledge of its value.

It didn't reach reserve and the seller relisted it twice - it failed to sell each time. The last listing was a month ago.

They have not understood that it is only worth what somebody is prepared to pay for it. If you can contact the seller, why not make your offer again after a month or two, in case they have by then learned the lesson.

On the local auction site, it's only possible to contact sellers publically through their auctions - they don't want people to avoid paying the commission.

Nobody is obliged to undervalue for the sake of buyers.

They were asking significantly more than recent sellers on Ebay have received for the same camera. And they get to tell their significant other "look, I've tried selling it but nobody wants it, so it'll have to stay in the living room glass cabinet. Sorry."
