Haha. It sounded like hammer, lol. Yes. I only know because I have two daughters who went through a phase of making endless useless things with these and spilling the ruddy 'beads' all around my house. Broke at least one vacuum cleaner. Hateful things. You put them on a peg board and then iron them. Or rather they put them on peg boards and nag me to iron them. And then after everyone bought them Hama beads for Christmas, decided they were bored with them. Sigh. I'm not bitter. Much.

Probably the closest I have got to anything hooked. DSCF4154.jpg by Pete, on Flickr Probably posted in May because it is in my "for AP" Flickr folder. Not brilliantly focussed - must be around about the minimum focussing distance for a 150-600 on APS-C - focal length used 185 mm (280 effective).

This is the fabled mince hook that hotel kitchen staff would send new kitchen porters to find. It was kept in the same cupboard as the long stand.

Anchor, a hook to attach a ship to the seabed? Back when I went sailing we always talked about dropping the hook if we meant anchoring. I'm pretty sure it wasn't just a family thing
