Very little keeps time as well as clocks, on British railways...

I was going photographing in town this morning but put the heating back on and went back to bed instead. So, some hours later, it is mining time. This got several informational comments when it was posted in APForum in 2022 - I forget the detail. York 2007. It had been recently refurbished. IMG_0019.jpg by Pete, on Flickr

I'll find what I logged onto the computer to look for shortly. In the meantime: Clock on the outside of Wells Cathedral. Looking now it was deserving of a closer look but Exif says I had a 10-24 mm lens on the X-E2 - still could have been closer this was the zoom at 14.5 mm (effective 21 mm on full frame) but in LR it has a "cropped" indicator, probably perspective correction. This was one of the clocks I was going to have another go at today, with a longer lens. This was taken on 20th of December for the "chimney theme". Curiously some group admin found the chimney pics on Flickr and invited them to his group. Amazing what people collect. Rather distant clock on the Grosvenor Museum, Chester. Taken with a 55-200 at 200 on APS-C. DSCF6747.jpg by Pete, on Flickr

Also from chimney day. Can't have this theme without a picture of the Eastgate Clock, reportedly the second most photographed clock in the UK, the firstmost being the clock in the Elizabeth Tower in London. Rather boring Chester Christmas decorations. Someone launched a newspaper [adverts mainly if I recall] in December with a very similar stock picture printed large in colour on the title page only they didn't check that the picture was up-to-date, the baubles were coloured red in the paper, I've not seen a second edition. Last one and the one I was looking for. Taken 2013 - probably posted APForum in March 2021. Seven [sun] Dials and two clocks. IMG_0035.jpg by Pete, on Flickr
