Like is not how I would describe my appreciation to Rap in general but maybe tolerate is to far removed from my liking for it. To actually listen to loads of it no I wouldn’t but I really like the rappers ability to perform. So maybe I’m a lukewarm fan Luke Warm, wasn't he big in the 60's, with his band the Night Storage Heaters? I thought he was Biggins in Slade Prison...

I don't 'get' any of the genres mentioned here. I'm stuck in the days of Lonnie Donegan. His rendition of 'Nobody's child' was memorable. Having remembered that, I have to mention the Ellington/Armstrong version of 'Mood Indigo'. Also memorable. Mick Lol 😂 I’m going to say who then someone is gonna say The Who then I’m gonna say no I ment who?

Give me rap over Pink Floyd any day of the week. I'm not an officianado, but I do like some of it. How can you not like Grandmaster Flash and the Furious Five's 'White Lines'? There's a lot of great protest songs that white, middle class Scots wouldn't be expected to understand. FWIW I love 70s and 80s disco too. Just listen to White lines! Not heard it before but I like it. I like all types of music even Pink Floyd I cannot believe that someone dislikes Pink Floyd 😃🤣🤣

Some of its OK but at its worse the lyrics are predictable and uninspiring and the inevitable drum machine not unlike a knackered washing machine with a brick in it

I like a very wide variety of music. Among the exceptions are disco, rap and hip hop - which I cannot honestly differentiate from rap. Rap is very, very popular and widespread but it simply leaves me baffled and unmoved. Any one into it or, failing that, "get it"?
There are nicer forms of Rap... Take Professor Elemental for example:
