I can't be absolutely sure if I was down low, or standing in a hollow, or facing uphill but this looks like an along-the-ground shot. Skylark, April 2017, Barn Hill, Dartmoor. I found it when I was looking to see if I'd kept any pictures of Windy Post (Beckamore Cross) taken from a low position. I think I saw, in The Times recently, that someone had scored highly in a competition with a [fairly ordinary picture] long exposure of the cross as seen across the leat, and which was taken from near ground level. It has to be andy , the bug hunter formally known as DaftBiker. Either that or some other weirdo with a MP-E and twinflash  . This may be the beastie I found in those leaves on Brownsea Island....  Still dunno what it is but pretty sure I've never seen another. Jumping spider with a grumpy face on it's back! |
