Just seen this woman's work and I rather like it.
Anyone got any comments?

It very much reminds me of my 1970s use of film and pushing film speed to new heights. Also experimentation in low light and most of all in developing film and in the darkroom. I am tempted to say been there done that, but didn't get a book printed of the results.
What goes round comes round I guess, so I shouldn't knock it.

Looks fine if unmemorable. It's not easy to pull it off but seems to have consistency of style.

"Visually her work has parallels with Anton Corbin " Yer, right NO.
Anton originally shot the way he did because he was brassic and could only afford one film stock and often it was from the reduced price outdated film shelf, he pushed speeds because he had to. What today is ICM was then (1980's ) mostly a happy accident of that is not too bad given you can only push TriX and xtol so far.
It is all a bit A'level possibly foundation arts but if it sells, good for her.

Maybe not ground-breaking but they do appear to the result of a considered approach rather than a 'wave the camera and hope' philosophy. I like them and good luck to her.

This reminds me of my father's attitude to sex - 'You youngsters think you've just invented it'.

Whereas it started in 1963. Between the end of the Chatterly ban and the Beatles' first LP.

Another girl brought it to school under a brown paper wrapper. We passed it around in the cloakroom sitting on the floor under our coats. It prompted me to raid (and read) another of his books from the bookcase at home. That one was boring as heck!

Most of the Chatterley novel was as boring as heck as well. By the time I got my hands on a copy it was well dog eared so easy to find the controversial bits. Philip Larkin got his dates mixed up. The book was in limited circulation in 1960. A lot of Penguin's first paperback print escaped the censor. The hoi polloi didn't get access until 1963. I was in the sixth form when I borrowed it and left school in 1962. my parents would have been quite shocked if they had known.

Back to the subject. I can see a consistent style but it is not for me. However the site personalwork.online/ has much of value. I spent nearly two hours there yesterday.

Sorry, found it all very Meh! and agree with zx9.
Looking at it it looks more like someone using the wrong settings as they don't know the right ones to use, rather than deliberate ICM.
