Anyone want to hazard a guess at how much 2000 rolls of Ektachrome would set you back in 2023 money? About £30k? 2000 rolls of un processable Kodachrome would be a different matter.

Er, Jack, I think he actually meant the year, not the number of rolls of film. But obviously I could be wrong. Unless he was channeling Lichfield, who apparently bought the stuff by the crate.
As would many, back in the mid 80's I was in wholesale photography the amount of materials we shifted every week to the London studios was mind blowing. I mostly looked after the newspapers, can you imagine how much Ektapress and Fuji Color we sent out, not to mention the hospitals that ploughed through Polaroid peel apart by the case load. I worked for one of the big three wholesalers in London so you can probably times what I sold by three as most of the users would have an account with all of us and rotate between us to ease their credit limits, 30days effectively became 90 days when you could be on stop for two months. We would hold batches for individuals to be drawn off as required which was a pain if they stopped buying from you, as pro emulsions were relatively short dated you had to be careful that you were not holding too much for some of the studios.

No confusion intended - 2007 was the year of my last roll of Kodachrome. I used 10-15 rolls a year, which was quite expensive enough. I was never somebody who took thousands of shots, always being aware of the cost. Could anybody actually use 2007 rolls in one year?

I won an auction for a Pentax K2, and a P50date - it cost about 36 pounds. I'll pick the cameras up tomorrow, and see just what state they're in. Attachment Deleted

The Pentax K2 is in nice cosmetic condition, and appears to work well, apart from the sticky asa setting ring. Attachment Deleted
