I think 'General Discussion' is the right place for this... After being offline* for a while, I've finally got my website up and running * Offline: My website was hacked and they corrupted the database that held all the information for the website.New design, new galleries and a new approach. Not a commercial website this time, more of a personal one with galleries of my favourite photographs. There's 23 galleries at the moment and many more to come. A lot of them are 'Travel', I've only added Dorset so far but eventually they'll be galleries from all counties I've been out with my camera in. The website is designed for PC (yeah or Mac) with a version for viewing on phones coming later, so if you're viewing on a phone it will look a little wonky at times! Let me know what you think. Here's the link: www.fenris.co.uk/

Yes. Two things there.
SSL certificate needed and website needs configuring to insist that the protocol is used.

I've just had a fairly quick look. Using Firefox on my main Windows 10 PC on a 30" 2560x1600 display with text and other items at 125% the site is very impressive and works impeccably. Using Firefox on my Windows 10 laptop with 16" 1920x1080 display with text and other items at 150% it still looks good and still works impeccably. If you want me to check out how it works on that hardware with Chrome or MS Edge just ask.
I have not tested it on phone since you have stated that it has not been designed for that. I think that although the general opinion is that websites should be phone friendly, since that is often the first view visitors get of them, a photographic website is an exception. Photographs need big screens. I have just been working on a responsive website using ProSite and the phone display is a real pig to work with.
On the design side I find your site very elegant and will visit again. Very well done.

Apologies about that, the SSL had lapsed during the down time for the website. John - No need, I test all the sites (personal and ones I make for clients) on Firefox, Chrome, Edge, Brave, Opera and Avast's browser before they go live

Noice. Works perfectly on Safari as well. I do like the yellow. (And more importantly the images!)

How is the new site doing for you? Do you manage to sell stuff or is it just for pleasure

Its not clear from your website that you create websites for clients. That might be losing you business. I like the elegant design of your site. So might potential customers.

Its not clear from your website that you create websites for clients. That might be losing you business. I don't create websites for the public, any web work I do is commercial. This website is my personal website for photography. I like the elegant design of your site. Thank you
