Grim march of progress. Rubbish photo through the home-office/bedroom window just now, looking up the road. Having grubbed up the hedgerows and filled in the ditches the groundwater continues to deepen. At the residents association meeting the other day some reported that the ground level behind their houses was now +1 m, whereas before there was a (working) ditch, consequently their gardens are becoming soggier. I can see puddles in the grass next door. DSCF6188.jpg by Pete, on Flickr This is Jan 2021 while the closest ditch and hedgerow were still there but after the developers had blocked the drainage path. They had to dig a big channel to lose this water but they can't do that now! DSCF0131.jpg by Pete, on Flickr

231104-Grim Pumpkins_Nik-1 by Kath Polley, on Flickr I took my Photography & Wellbeing Group to Balloch Park and Country Castle today. Nothing grim about it. In fact it was beautiful. Then I dropped a couple of people back off at Headquarters and saw the leftover pumpkins. Grim as you like.
