Of course we are all forgetting the biggest organ we all have (heard that on the radio the other day) - and that is - skin.

My great great great grandfather was a surgeon so would have dealt with more than his share of organs:

I'd not forgotten just looking for a reasonable example, it seems the only interesting one I can find is another doctor in the family, shot in Infra red to see partly through her largest organ (skin)

Pete pretending to rock the cinema organ, it was in The Regent Street Polytechnic cinema the site of the first showing of moving pictures in the uk. Explained here. Edited to include the original picture I had intended to post.

For me it is the big fast spinney things that I can't cope with, add that to high and upside down well that is real fear. There are at least half a dozen rides here that I would not even consider going on. Prater Vienna IMG_0525editNov by Keith Hudson, on Flickr

Of course we are all forgetting the biggest organ we all have (heard that on the radio the other day) - and that is - skin. When I took my O-Level Biology examination, there was a question about 'the largest organ in the human body' which was not named, so nobody hoping to answer the question knew how 'largest' was defined. It is skin only if measured by surface area, the large intestine if measured by length, probably the brain or lungs if measured by weight, etc. I began my answer 'I choose to define 'largest' as 'largest by mass'' and wrote about the human brain. The answer must have been acceptable since I got a decent grade, but I read later that the question caused a lot of problems with marking and some answers had to be 're-assessed' by external examiners.
