I must admit to enjoying spoonerisms an malapropisms, some can almost make sense.
Do you listen to the feather warcast?
A recent pondering on similar lines gave me sentimental/semi mental, methinks there is some connection there.
Any other offerings? - (apart from the trick by the god of love)

Out for dinner with the in laws I managed to spoonerise the sticky toffee part of my pudding, and made the mistake of stopping, aghast, instead of brazening it out.

I recall many years ago (mid-late 1950s) when in the middle east with the RAF letters to and from home often had S W A L K on the back of the envelope standing for Sealed With A Loving Kiss; some from home would have C H I N A, replies would then have N O R W I C H - any guesses on the meanings; if nobody posts correct answers in a day or two I'll provide same.

CHINA to receive SIAM - "Come Home I'm Naked Already to receive Sexual Intercourse At Midnight" As for the naughty version... "Hunting In Narrow Alleys" is how it ended! |

I alway understood CHINA as Come Home I Need Action, I do like the naughty version, though I suspect that would have been on a letter going home to a nale friend and the N A translated as North Africa

I know it's not funny but it irritates me when I read something like this. On a Sue Ryder appeal for dosh - quote: Only 50% of people who die receive palliative care...
Don't know about you, but I think the sentence could be better constructed.
