Okay, time for a correction on my I.D. It turns out they're European Wall Lizards, which makes sense as the colony resides in ruined church walls. Only 20 colonies in the UK.

I was gutted a few weeks ago when I came across a slow worm on the allotment and realised it must have shed it's tail as a result of my weeding.

Great set of Lizzie Pics. We often see them when on holiday around the Med but I don't think I have seen Lizards in the UK, unless you count Slow Worms which we had in the garden years ago but I think we now have too many foxes to see them again.
