My first camera was a Kodak 126 instamatic which I was given for Christmas when I was 10 or 11. It had 2 settings - bright sun or overcast, but I don't know if this changed the aperture or shutter speed. I used with Kodachrome 64 (the beginning of a love affair that lasted until the death of Kodachrome), and once I had learned the limitations of the camera I was able to get decent results from it. My first camera was an Instamatic 126 too*. If memory serves I got it for my 12th birthday as I was going on a school trip to Switzerland that year. *And I've still got it somewhere...

For me it’s the one I never got round to owning, the Nikon 35ti (or 28ti) I did have the Contax T2 and later the TVs. But could never afford the Nikons. Edit - I must add the Konica Hexar, another that I lusted after.

At the moment, a Yashica Microtec Zoom 70.
Just been given it, so a new battery and some Kentmere and I'll let you know if I still like it when I finish the roll.

I have a small collection of Trip's, which I've refurbished myself, but my standby pocket camera is an old Canon S120, which shoots RAW. It was the only camera that I was allowed to take on Honeymoon in 2014 and to my surprise it did everything required with pretty good results - It's a keeper.

Probably now my phone because it’s easier to get than my camera. In fact the camera on my iPad which I am using now is easiest because my phone is upstairs and the camera is in the under stairs cupboard.

So if somebody moved your camera somewhere more easily accessible you could use it? More seriously, if you'll never use it again why not try to sell it or offer it to somebody who would use it, but can't afford it.

I keep thinking about selling my DSLR and lens plus the few film cameras I have collected my Panasonic TZ80 will stay. I’m planning a few projects but my multiple sclerosis is getting worse so I’ll only have to wait for good days before I’m strong enough to take pictures and transfer them to the internet

All this talk of selling my kit I still keep looking at film cameras on eBay but I know I won’t ever be strong enough to put a film through them. An old man can dream can’t he

The 45mm f/3.5 is nothing special (a triplet design, and in need of a clean) but is more useful now off the original camera IIRC the second also has a 45mm/3.5 but the lens is from a different manufacturer. Oh and in answer to Zou's original question I think my Vest pocket Kodak, might be my ultimate - though I don't really do P&S
