He either escaped or was allowed leave it’s one or the other. Or maybe we are living in a simulation of this life and nothing is real The relevant dividing line is before and after being charged with a crime rather than before and after committing the same crime. Just as law and morality are two different things so law and logic are also two different things.

But above that, there is a possibility that Don is living in a simulation and we are in reality, or vice versa. Allegedly.

All I was saying is he escaped! If he was no longer in captivity he had escaped or can you give me another reason why he was not where he should have been?

I think the legal angle is he may have deliberately escaped or accidentally found himself to have been outwith the boundaries of his confinement, or have been granted leave. But at the point of being charged, the possibilities and how they are legally reported, change.

Once was charged with escaping then that matter became sub judice which means no-one (inc. the Beeb) is allowed to opine publicly on either his guilt or innocence. Therefore, once he had been charged, had the Beeb continued to use the expression "the escape" rather than start referring to "the alleged escape" then they would be in contempt of court as by using the term "the escape" they would be expressing an opinion that he was guilty of a crime with which he had been charged but has not yet been tried.

Shhh 🤫 🤫 don’t tell anyone but he hung underneath a lorry 🚛 and became something otherwise known as an escapee but don’t tell anyone that it’s a secret 🤫
Another of life’s strange anomalies, anyway everyone back to work especially people who work as prison guards 😁👍

One of those occasions where the facts, he was outside the place where he was legally confined, are irrefutable but to ensure a fair trial it is illegal to say that in public. I shall be interested to hear his defence.

Obviously he was asleep in his cell, he was having a nightmare, fell out of bed wrapped in his bedding and was run over underneath his window by a food lorry. Fortunately for him his bedding managed to wrap itself around the lorry, and at the first opportunity he jumped from under the lorry. He was so disoriented it took him a few days to realise what had happened. He was cycling to hand himself in when without warning he was knocked from his bike.

His bike or an extra 6 months for stealing it?
