Seven people to guard One Thousand Five Hundred prisoners one night! Don’t get me started on Fruit picking or cleaners carers in care homes etc. The list goes on

Police have said he poses little/no risk to the public. So why did he even need to be locked up?

Police have said he poses little/no risk to the public. So why did he even need to be locked up? Because he (allegedly) works for Iran. He also left dummy bombs at army barracks/bases, maybe the next one would have been a real one?

On the second, surely other and more appropriate custodial options were available?

Police have said he poses little/no risk to the public. So why did he even need to be locked up? Deemed a risk of fleeing the country to avoid trial. He was denied bail for that reason. Rather looks like they got that one right.

He was a soldier, we presumably trained him in escape and evasion techniques, are we really surprised that he escaped?

We definitely train them in armed combat, when I was last in respite care it was opposite the military firing range and they put them through training wind rain ☔️ or shine. I was proud of them out there in all weather conditions, you can’t go to war only on good weather conditions days.
