Light at the end of the tunnel Plus some guiding lights on the way. DSCF3045.jpg by Pete, on Flickr I just happened to come across this while looking for something else. Looking for the string "light" in Lightroom isn't a good idea with the default search settings to include the metadata and to ignore case.

I was looking for this. I went out to test the IBIS on a Fuji X-H1. I think I still rested the camera on a waste-bin. January 2019. I think this is the third and last time I deliberately took pictures after dark ( Paris that one time, the Dickensian evening in Tavistock in 2017, and this in 2019) The Groves at Chester under street light. Shown before on APForum I am sure. DSCF3976.jpg by Pete, on Flickr Just for fun I thought I'd try to join two images together because the lamppost in this, the best shot, is a bit close to the edge. The frames were not taken with the intention of becoming a panorama but it is amazing what Lightroom can do. Joining three shots was a trip too far although it made a fair crack of producing a "fish-eye" view of the scene that was quite remarkable (if horrible to look at). Today's post-processing effort. This is the closest thing I've got to the theme. I've posted a "better" picture of this before on APForum but this frame has been untouched until today. I hadn't noticed before but the kettle has a very big and thick base. I think it must have been made to go on a range or other solid fuelled device and warm by conduction rather than convection. The gas-stove kettles that we have had have all had very thin bottoms. The Elephant (2009, Rouge Cloître) IMG_0008.jpg by Pete, on Flickr
